- Categories : Accessories

The practical accessory for getting out of the shower! I recommend you try the hair towel :-) Made from bamboo terry fabric known for its soft, absorbent properties, it wraps your wet hair before a quick blow-dry. Let's get started?

Material to sew your hair towel

  • a piece of 60x60cm bambou terry cloth  (because we love its softness)
  • 1,80m bias binding
  • 1 button of your choice
  • 1 small piece of flexible elastic (10cm is enough)
  • Pattern to download here

Step 1 : the body

Cut out the 2 shapes of the body of the towel according to the pattern. On the reverse side of the piece of fabric n° 2, place a small elastic band folded into a loop as shown in the diagram. Make a small stitch to hold it in place.

Pin the pieces of fabric sides together and sew (or overlock) the rounded part.

We then "trim" the terry fabric  so that your bias binding will fit properly when folded. Keep about 5mm. Fold the bias binding sew along the edge.

Step 3 : the button

Turn it over and iron. All that's left to do is attach a button where indicated on the diagram and your hair towel is ready!
