I'm sewing my upcycled winter coat

I sew my winter coat for €86

This is the ARA pattern by Madeinestel_Paris (FR), and I chose this wool fabric made of 80% wool and 20% polyamide. An excellent quality fabric with a lovely mini-square texture. For the body lining, I used this By Léa cotton poplin, which coordinates perfectly with my wool fabric.

A real pleasure to sew… I even tried covering the buttons with this fabric – a first for me! I love the result and this lime/chartreuse colour. What about you?

Would you like to start sewing this winter coat? You will need:

• Chartreuse upcycling wool fabric – approx. 3 m
• By Léa cotton poplin – approx. 1.5 m
  Please note: for lining the sleeves, we recommend using a classic lining so your coat is easy to put on
• Off-white ribbed cuff fabric – 50 cm
• Cover buttons – 5 pieces

The matching accessory – I sew my bum bag for €30

The challenge was to match an accessory with my colourful coat. I found this gem from our upcycling stock, and Mika took care of the rest! This metallic water-repellent fabric is perfect for making my clever bum bag with removable straps. This is our own pattern! Change the strap in the blink of an eye (leather, chain, floral fabric…) to match your bag with all your outfits. The bag is lined with cotton gabardine from the By Léa collection.
