DIY the bib with sleeves
A very useful bib when baby grows up and moves on to something other than the bottle ;-) Especially when they discover food and start to eat on their own. Mashed potatoes, fruit, toast: put on his sleeved bib and let them taste ... Their clothes will be spared! Here is the tutorial:
Material
- 60cm terry cloth fabric
You can choose for the 100%cotton or a Bambou viscose. I prefer the last one which is softer!
- 3m. bais binding
It's your choice... Choose your favorite here
- 3 snap button
- Pattern to download
This model is suitable for a baby from 12 months (+/- according to its growth).
Step 1 : Cut the body of the bib
Print the template without printing margins. Transfer the shape to your terry cloth fabric and cut out your piece.
Step 2 : place the bias binding
Pin the bias binding around the edge of the bib.
Sew the bias binding. Be sure to notch the edges with scissors at the rounded parts for a better placement.
Step 3 : the sleeves of the bib
Fold the armholes lengthwise and pin / pinch.
Sew through the two layers, stopping at the round edges to let your baby's hand pass. Here is a small diagram below to help you below:
Step 4 : snap buttons
All you have to do is place the snap buttons on the indicated areas by the pattern. Be sure to match the top / bottom elements for each button.

Bonjour Julie, En effet le patron ici est pour une taille de 12-18mois max. Pour une taille 3 ans il va falloir retracer le patron en ajoutant quelques centimètres pour chaque forme. À bientôt,

Bonjour Thomas, Oui il convient pour un enfant de 12 mois, mais selon la taille de votre bébé évidemment. Nous ne vous conseillons pas de diminuer les mesures, mieux vaut un peu trop grand pour en profiter plus longtemps ;-) À bientôt,

Bonjour Vanessa, Les pressions serviront à maintenir le bavoir en place en haut du dos, sans pour autant trop serrer. Un peu comme un bavoir classique en fait... ;-)
